Celebration

Dear parents,
Grade 2 will be celebrating next week. They have done many good deeds and deserve a celebration. Parents, you are invited. I will give you more information about the exact time and date. I project the party to take place some time next week during the school day. It will be held in the School Hall.
Please have your child contribute $20HK for treats for the party. Bring the money in an envelope with the student's name on it tomorrow. Extra funds will be kept and used for the next celebration.
I appreciate your support.
Ms. Luckett

Homework

Dear families,
There is no school tomorrow because I will meet with parents for conferences. Your child has a Spelling list for Lessons 1 through 5. Use it to prepare for the Spelling test this week.

Also, please read for at least 10 minutes and record it in the Reading Log.

Congratulations Grade 2!! Almost every student turned in the Reading Log today. Let's try for 100% particpation next Tuesday.
Ms. Luckett

Reading Log information

Good morning parents,
Grade 2 should be reading for 10 minutes each day for up to 6 days per week. It should be recorded in the Reading Log. I should see 6 or more sessions recorded every Tuesday when I check the Reading Logs.
The title and/or page number, date, and parent signature are required for each reading session. If your child is reading a chapter book or is continuing a book from one session to another, please record the title, then record only the page numbers where the reader started and ended in each reading session. If you need further clarification, please send me a note in your child's Communication Book.
Thank you parents,
Ms. Luckett
