Friday Blurb or "Weekly Word"

Dear Parents,

Happy Birthday to Oz Haviv: Saturday, November 14th

Class birthday parties are held form 1:20pm to 1:30 pm

Our children had a blast at their celebration Wednesday morning. Thank you all for your support. We greatly appreciate all of your efforts.

מבנה החומש. חומשים, פרשות, פרקים ופסוקים.
פרשת שבוע – חיי שרה.

EVERYONE:
LANGUAGE ARTS: We are discovering the proper use of VERBS and testing our knowledge of the spelling of commonly used words. Grade 2 also set goals for the year; one academic goal, and one social/behavioral goal.

SCIENCE: Recording data and understanding how habitats are used by different animals

MATH: Understanding two-digit addition and the process of carrying

SOCIAL STUDIES: We are becoming more capable and comfortable at having a conversation about general features of Hong Kong like what S.A.R. stands for, what the motto is, and who is the Chief Executive.

MUSIC: The school is busy preparing for the Annual dinner, which will be held February 4, 2010. There are songs that Grade 2 is practicing. Two of them are Any Dream Will Do and When You Believe.
