Friday Blurb or "Weekly Word"

Dear Parents,
Another fun-filled week for Grade 2 has passed.

Coming next week are presentations for the Science unit, Energy and Motion, and also for the Spelling Unit 3. The Science presentations will be done Monday in class. Thank you parents for helping the groups come together and to get their thoughts and ideas materialized.
The Spelling Project is a fun and interesting activity that will expose the student to two (or more) types of written media. Students need to use the misspelled words form Post-test 17 and Pre-test 18 first. This project's due date is Thursday.

Homework:
1. Read and record (due Tuesday)
2. journal (due Tuesday)
3. Practice the song you are singing in MUSIC class
4. Science project (due Monday)
5. Spelling project (due Thursday) Please bring the Spelling books back to school on Monday, as we will be using them in class.

Announcements:
Tuesday is field day. Students need to be in P.E. uniform and have a baseball cap to wear.

Fun time in Derech Eretz today: We read and acted out a fable about a mule and the shadow. The moral of the story was: In quarreling about the shadow, we often lose the substance. The students can have a nice conversation with you about what they shared with the class.
