Dear parents,
The class will use Rafaela's adaptation of Christina Rosetti's poem, "What is Pink." She simply calls her poem, PINK!
The speech contest is June 15th. Not only will students need to be familiar with the poem, they will also learn some dramatic gestures.
PINK
Let’s think about pink.
Why do girls like pink? It brings me to the brink.
Why not yellow? It’s much more mellow.
Why not blue? It’s good, too!
Why not green? It’s much more clean.
Or red. We could play dead.
Why not brown? We could lie down.
Or purple, or orange, or gold?
I’ve said it once. You’ve been told
these colors are better than pink.
Now think.
Doesn’t pink really stink?
