Homework

Hello parents!
We are wrapping up units in every subject this week.
Thank you for helping your child with the homework packet last weekend.
The book report is due tomorrow.
Reading Logs are also due tomorrow. Be sure to record the readings and get it signed.

Please notice the following due dates.

Math:
1. SUBTRACTION HOMEWORK and MULTIPLICATION HOMEWORK due tomorrow. (I do not expect students to memorize the 3's and 4's by tomorrow if they do not already know them . However, it is possible for them to come to school tomorrow knowing 3's and 4's much better than they did today.)
2. Math corrections from Chapters 28 and/or 29 due tomorrow
3. Practice Book packet of Chapter 29: due Wednesday

Language Arts:
1. Book report
2. Grammar worksheet (2-sided) due Wednesday (VERBS)
3. Spelling Lesson 9 sentences (for those who did not finish in class) They wrote a note to themselves and put it in their box. Each student must use each challenge word in a sentence that shows that the word is understood. (A 1/2 sheet of lined paper is provided.)
Orange book words: lobster, adopt, monster
Here are some sample sentences to assist the student with understanding.
a)Does a lobster wear sneakers on its feet?
b)Would a grownup adopt another grownup?
c)Do scary movies sometimes have a monster in them?

Green book Words: misery, soggy, scheme, cemetery
Here are some sample sentences to assist the student with understanding.
a) A headache can cause misery.
b) The children had a scheme for raising money to buy a gift.
c) Mia changed her soggy clothes after she fell in a puddle.
d) Some grave markers in this cemetery are very old.


NOTE: Homework may be turned in before the due date if it is completed satisfactorily or unless it is specified that it should be turned in only on the due date.
