Grade Two
Accountants, Doctors, Singers, Composers, Artists, Financial Analysts, Teachers, Publishers, Athletes, and Lawyers
Does this sound like the Grade Two class you know? It is! They have been expressing themselves in many different ways, showing their special talents, and learning and appreciating those qualities in each of their classmates that make them special. Here are a couple of activities your child has done this week:
-Created a poster that told everyone about how teeth are and how to take good care of them
-Mastered some spelling words from 2 lessons
-Write about yummy foods like apples, oranges, and birthday cakes
-Revealed some of their favorite things and shared their wish and who they love
-Identified, discussed, demonstrated, and wrote about Newton's Laws of Motion
-Mastered the months of the year in Mandarin
-Practiced virtues like courtesy, kindness, helpfulness, perseverance, and diligence
-Counted American currency
-Composed their version of "We Are The World"
-Practiced the art of appreciation when sampling different genres of music and learning what other classmates enjoy listening to
-Became a bit more autonomous when practicing 2-digit subtraction by checking their answers for accuracy by themselves

Science: How Sound Travels
Parents, temperature checks also need to be made and recorded and placed in the communication book for daily readings.
1. Your child may have work to catch up on over the weekend. Oops! We had no time to pass out the homework. We will pass it out on Monday. Or, your child can simply follow the instructions and use a piece of A4 paper for the assignment.
2. Color Spectrum papers - on a piece of A4 paper, create the color spectrum. Write your name on the front of the paper and the title: Color Spectrum (students who did not pick up this paper can make their own on A4 paper.
3. Reading needs to be done each day (and recorded).
4. Daily journal entries should be written with the date at the top of each entry.
Have a pleasant weekend.
Shabat Shalom
